The focus of the SBWC Marriage Ministry is to reveal the pattern, plan and purpose of Marriage as God designed it. This is not a theoretical understanding of marriage, but a practical application of God’s biblical principles that are always based on “Faith which worketh by Love.”— Galatians 5:6. It takes faith, and God’s Love to maintain the God ordained covenant of Marriage. God’s marriages are Kingdom, God lead, and balanced.

Faith without Works is Dead – James 2:14-17 NKJV
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

In Biblical times, a disciple referred to anyone studying under, and trying to emulate, a valued teacher. To modern day Christians, it means a follower of Christ who leads by following his example. In John 13:34-35, Jesus says “Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Discipleship is a process of not only holding onto your faith, but growing in it so that you may lead others toward Christ.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 7th and May 14th 10:00am for our Soul Winning Class that will be taught by Minister Franklin Mayfield. If you are interested, please submit your name and contact information on the sign-up sheet in the lobby.
New members / believers class gives our church an opportunity to help those who are new in Christ and our church to understand the Gospel, catch the vision of this church, understand, and embrace the expectations of church membership, and learn to communicate with God through prayer. You will be taught about the Bible, prayer, Shores Baptist, and how to serve.
Starting Tuesday, May 10th, this class will be held weekly for 6 weeks from 6:00-7:30pm. Please sign-up in the lobby.
