Pastor Harold N. Garner, Jr., has been the senior Pastor of Shores Baptist Worship Center since September 2005, and is dedicated to building God’s kingdom through the power of the Holy Spirit. His focus is to reach people of every color, culture, and creed through the expository preaching and teaching the Word of God.
Pastor “G”; as he is affectionately called was born in Fayetteville, NC, and served in the U.S. Navy for 10 years. He earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Marymount College in Salina, KS. And as a powerfully anointed Bible teacher and visionary, Pastor G earned his Master of Theological Studies from Faith Evangelical Seminary in Tacoma, WA.
His hobbies include golf, swimming and reading. Pastor G is married to his wife, Lady Melissa Garner, who supports his ministry and is passionate and dedicated to the Pastors’ vision.
A native of Alabama, and a student of Florida State College at Jacksonville, Lady Garner has made an indelible impact on the women of Silver Springs Shores through her ministry and passion for God’s people.
Mrs. Garner is a 20 year veteran of the United States Navy and is currently pursuing her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration Personnel Management and has been able to use her educational background in her career with Marion County Public Schools; Human Resources for the past 20 years.
While her professional resume can stand alone, her work in the Kingdom of God will have an eternal impact. In 2005, Lady Garner assumed leadership of Christian Education ministry at Shores Baptist Worship Center where her husband and love of her life, Reverend Harold N. Garner Jr. serves as Pastor. Together, they empower the body of Christ and the members of SBWC by example through living, teaching and preaching the word of God.
Lady Garner is humbled that God would choose her to serve in ministry and through that humility she strives to enable women to reach their full potential in Christ.
