Good morning and Happy New Year! We are so happy to have you worshiping with us at Shores Baptist today, those of you who are in person and those online. I would like to take just a moment to bring you up on some of the happenings.
January’s Birthdays & Anniversaries
Happy Birthday to all of our members and friends who are blessed enough to be born during this beautiful time of renewal. And Happy Anniversary to all celebrating this month. We pray God’s continued blessings and happiness on these special occasions for many more years to come.

Christian Education
Please join us Sunday mornings at 9:30am for our Sunday Biblical teaching in the sanctuary for all ages. Our teaching this month is “The Book of 1 Corinthians” by Jennie Allen.
Tuesday Bible study will resume in February.
New Believer’s/New Members class (Part 1) will begin this Tuesday, January 9th at 6:00pm for six weeks in the sanctuary. All new member are required to attend.
Teaching young people how to grow in their relationship with Christ and thrive in their daily walk will help them to mature and become adults who are confident in their faith.
Parents, our SBWC Youth ministry is in session every Tuesday at 6:00pm. Please contact sister Alice Reid for more information.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Marion County’s Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemorative Celebration March will be held Monday, January 15th in downtown Ocala. Transportation to the March – Buses will start loading between 7:00 am-8:00 am at Ed. Croskey Rec Center Parking lot to Historic Downtown line-up. March/Parade will start at 9 am -10am and proceed to Webb Field for several activities.
Senior Social
Being socially involved and active gives people a sense of belonging that provides added health benefits. Staying socially active is especially important for adults who can sometimes become lonely and isolated. It can also improve emotional, intellectual, and physical wellness.
The senior adult ministry meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 11am to 2pm, which will be on January 17th. So please mark your calendars so that you can take part in some great activities and fellowship.
Women’s Ministry
The Women’s ministry will meet on Saturday, January 20th at 11:00am in the Fellowship Hall. This ministry is called to encourage and equip our women to develop Christ-centered relationships, study God’s word, and train others to do the same. All ladies 18 and up are invited to attend.
Church Anniversary Celebration
This month, Shores Baptist will be celebrating its 49th year of worshipping in Silver Spring Shores. Please mark your calendars for January 28th, the last Sunday of the month, because we will have our church anniversary celebration during morning worship service. You are welcome to invite your family and friends to join in the celebration.
Tithe & Offering
God provides for the ministry of our church through your tithes and offerings and your gifts are honored with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and accountability. It’s more than keeping the lights on, it’s about personal worship to God and handing Him back what He already owns.
1 Chronicles 29:14 says, “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”

Can Good Collection Campaign
This is your weekly reminder about our can goods collection for the next 12 months. Our goal is to collect 6000 can goods between now and November 30, 2024.
