Our weekday biblical teaching is held every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Sunday school for ages 8-13 is held at 9:30 a.m. in the Educational Building. Spring Forward
Get ready to start enjoying the daylight a little longer. Please remember to adjust your clocks one hour forward this coming Saturday night, March 8th, at midnight. We would not want you to miss morning worship!

Great Day of Giving
“Great Day of Giving!” It getting close to that time of year when we make a
commitment to give sacrificially above our tithe and offering. This special offering will be collected on April 20th, Easter Sunday. This principle of sacrificial giving holds true so often in life. When you give sacrificially, God wonderfully gives back to you. You can never outgive God. He sees your sacrificial generosity and pours back many blessings into your life. We are expecting an abundant blessing from God through your sacrifice.

Easter Service
Easter is April 20th this year. Easter is celebrated by Christians as a joyous holiday because it represents the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Old Testament and the revelation of God’s salvation plan for all mankind. In commemorating the Resurrection of Jesus, we invite you to celebrate the defeat of death and the hope of salvation with us here at SBWC. Please note that Easter Worship service will begin at 10:00 am. Again, in-person
and online Easter service will begin at 10:00am on April 20th!

1000 Can Challenge
Hunger” is an evocative word. Everyone understands what it feels like to be
hungry. Our stomachs start rumbling. We get irritable. It becomes hard to think
straight. To make those symptoms go away, we eat something. Our stomachs are full, and we are content. Over 47 million Americans face hunger each and every day, including 1 in 5 children. For households that are often forced to choose between eating and paying the utility bills, every dollar counts.
SBWC, I am asking you to prepare your hearts to make a one-day donation on
May 31st of at least one case of canned goods/nonperishables at our 1000

Canned Goods Challenge Drive.
Spread the word to your neighbors and friends. More information will follow.

Tithe & Offering
Tithing is more than just giving away a part of your income; it’s a meaningful practice that deeply connects with your faith and values and demonstrates obedience to God. Tithing can also have a powerful impact on your walk with Jesus; by giving away a portion of your income, you’re putting your trust in God and stretching your faith.

Remember the words of the Lord Jesus.
“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35).

There are several ways to give:

  1. SBWC mobile App,
  2. The church drop slot
  3. By mail: 414 Silver Road, Ocala, Florida 34472

That concludes this week’s announcements.

March 2024 Announcements

Happy birthday and happy anniversary to you all!

Christian Education

Please join us Sunday mornings at 9:30 am for our Sunday Biblical teaching in the sanctuary for all ages. This month, we will learn about “The Book of Hebrews” by Derwin Gray. The book of Hebrews was written for people in crisis. They were persecuted, tempted by the rampant sin around them, and doubting their faith in Jesus. It was not so different than what many of us go through today. So, join us in this eight-session series as he walks through Hebrews, teaching us how to live for Jesus in every season of life. Hebrews shows us that Jesus is better than anything the world can offer.

Tuesday Bible study is offered at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. This month, we will continue to learn about the book “Exodus.”. Exodus explores the foundational story of the Israelites and reveals an all-powerful, intimately personal God. And it helps us understand God’s redemptive plan for all humanity. We’ve reserved a seat just for you.

Spring Forward

Get ready to start enjoying the daylight a little longer. Please remember to adjust your clocks one hour forward next Saturday night, March 9th, at midnight. We would not want you to miss morning worship!

SBWC’s Drive-Thru-Prayer

Get ready, get ready, get ready to go to war in the spirit, because our people are under attack by the enemy, the devil! Prayer is our way of communicating with God. When the Apostle Paul talks about spiritual warfare in Ephesians 6, prayer is the seventh piece of armor. It activates all of the rest of the spiritual armor.

Prayer is the divinely authorized mechanism God has given us to tap into His power. Without prayer, we’ll be ineffective in spiritual warfare. But with it, we will be victorious.

SBWC’s WOW Ministry will be sponsoring a drive-through prayer event on Saturday, March 16th, from 11:00–1:00 pm on our church grounds. We are soliciting your prayers and support as we stand in the gap through prayer for those in need.

Senior Social

Staying socially active is important for all adults. It can improve our emotional, intellectual, and physical wellness.

The senior adult ministry meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 11am to 2pm, which will be on March 20th. So please mark your calendars so that you can take part in some great activities and fellowship.

Easter Service

Easter is on March 31st this year. It is a joyous holiday celebrated by Christians. It represents the fulfillment of the prophecies of the Old Testament and the revelation of God’s salvation plan for all mankind. In commemorating the Resurrection of Jesus, we invite you to celebrate the defeat of death and the hope of salvation with us here at SBWC.

Please note that the Easter worship service will begin at 10:00 am on March 31st!

Tithe & Offering
