Soul Winning Class (in August 2022)

Soul Winning is our Great Commission from our Lord. It’s not just for preachers. It is a commandment to ALL BELIEVERS.

THE GOAL FOR THIS CLASS IS TO: Encourage, Empower & Deploy SBWC membership into the Great Commission

The Great Commission – Matthew 28:16-20 KJV
¹⁶Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.¹⁷And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.¹⁸And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.¹⁹Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:²⁰Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

God doesn’t want anyone to go to hell – John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

When you do it for them, you do it for Jesus – Matthew 25:35-40 NKJV
…for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; ³⁶I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’³⁷“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? ³⁸When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? ³⁹Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ ⁴⁰And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Faith without Works is Dead – James 2:14-17 NKJV
What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? ¹⁵If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, ¹⁶and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? ¹⁷Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

When you see someone in need, help them – 1 John 3:17 NKJV
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?

The Lord will repay you for your generosity – Proverbs 19:17 ESV
Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.

New Member’s/Believers Class

New members / believers class gives our church an opportunity to help those who are new in Christ and our church to understand the Gospel, catch the vision of this church, understand, and embrace the expectations of church membership, and learn to communicate with God through prayer. You will be taught about the Bible, prayer, Shores Baptist, and how to serve.

Starting Tuesday, May 10th, this class will be held weekly for 6 weeks from 6:00-7:30pm. Please sign-up in the lobby.
